Maintenance Guide

MAINTENANCE GUIDE

This guide provides practical advice for maintaining urban furniture, thereby preserving its integrity, durability, and aesthetic appeal in urban spaces.

Metal Surface :

      • Clean the surfaces with a soft cloth and hot water. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

Solid Wood:

      • Stubborn Stains: Wash with water and soap using a soft nylon bristle brush or clean with a low-setting pressure washer. Do not exceed 1200 psi when using a pressure washer to avoid damaging the wood ;
      • Restore the Finish: Surface sanding; 220 grit; apply two coats of Messmer oil. It is recommended to apply the oil 1 to 3 times a year to maintain the wood’s color.

Recycled Plastic :

      • Use a solution of mild soap, bleach (1 cup per bucket of water), and a stiff bristle brush for cleaning. Then, rinse thoroughly with water.
      • Scratches or Burns on Wood: Light sanding/brushing, stainless steel brush.
      • Never use abrasive cleaners, and do not exceed 1200 psi when using a pressure washer.

Natural Mineral Agglomerate :

      • Natural mineral composite has a non-porous surface that prevents dirt and stains from penetrating the material. Marks and persistent stains on the surface can be easily removed with a Scotch-Brite™ pad and a household cleaner.
      • In case of scratches, graffiti, or burn marks caused by an open flame from a lighter, renew the surface with a Scotch-Brite™ 7447 A VFN (brown) pad for a matte surface or 7448 S ULF (gray) for a semi-gloss finish and water. Wet the sample, dab, and wash in a circular motion. Finally, dry the sample and check for any remaining visible damage. If any is present, repeat the process until the scratches are removed.

Hammock Nets :

      • Wash with water using a nylon bristle brush or clean with a pressure washer.
